I just tried out Amazon's new digital music downloads and I'm impressed! There is no copy protection on the files and they are at 256k bitrate which is higher than iTunes. No copy protection means I won't have to burn them to CD and then rerip them to run them in my DJ software. Their price is the same as iTunes at .99 cents a song. Amazon also has things that iTunes does not have. So I know where I might be buying a lot more of my music now.
iTunes does offer some of their music without DRM copy protection, though those are $1.29 each.
