Ghamma Show

I just finished a 2 day DJ symposium in Houston and it was incredible!

I got to meet a lot of awesome DJs who are also passionate about the work they are doing. The information shared was very informative and valuable.

The nationally recognized speakers were N.A.M.E. VP Matt Peterson, author and DJ Larry Williams, and Scott Faver. Their presentations were very informative and they were all available to discuss anything about the DJ business. Their dedication to serve others and share what they have learned is very inspiring to me.

Hamilton Twelve - Fun Place!

Last Saturday night I did a wedding at Hamilton Twelve out in Bee Cave. As soon as I walked in the door I noticed all the people working there were having fun. Susan, who is the manager was very accomodating and had everybody was laughing. Jennifer from sales was hanging out too and we were all having a blast during setup and throughout the night. The place is beautiful with a huge back patio and pool.

Contact them at 512-264-1533 for more information.

Now as far as the music... we played almost all Spanish music and the place was very high energy. From salsa, merengue, rock and pop en espanol. I had a blast and I think everybody else did too!!! I am hoping to do more of these types of events in the future.

This weekend, I am doing a cancer benefit on Friday night and mixing live sound Saturday and Sunday night at Ruta Maya. Sunday should be real fun as it's teen rock night.

Monday & Tuesday, I will be in Houston to attend the GHAMMA DJ Symposium. So much more to learn and have fun with!

Wishing you a blessed weekend!

Musical Weekend

Join us tonight for another Catch A Fire Caribbean party at Flamingo Cantina. I will be flying solo tonight as the other DJ who usually plays will not be spinning tonight. We're looking to have a great night. Caribbean food by Winston and reggae shirts and gear by One Drop Colors. Jah Ray is the most electric and humorous MCs you will find anywhere in town.

Tomorrow night, a wedding at Hamilton Twelve out in Bee Cave with almost all spanish music on the playlist.

Reminding you to live for now and enjoy it! :-)

From Chris Widener's Ezine this week:

A subscriber recently wrote to me and asked me to consider this common phrase – Once in a lifetime. "Isn't every moment of our lives, once in a lifetime?" he asked.

Touché! Indeed, he is correct. Every moment of our lives is the last chance we get to live that moment.

What happens though is that we figure we will be able to live another moment in the same way we are passing on right now. Time becomes a commodity that we trade… and the riskiest commodity of all – futures! We pass on this moment for the option to live it in the future.

The problem is that there is no guarantee of the future… Take some time this week to think about the Once in a Lifetime opportunities you are passing up each day:
The opportunity to play with your children or grandchildren.
The opportunity to love your spouse.
The opportunity to take that business risk.
The opportunity to take that dream trip you have thought of for years.

Live for today my friends. Make today the best day that you can. Be aware of every moment and how it is the last time you will be able to make the decision on how to spend it. Today is your once in a lifetime opportunity to live your dreams, love your family, and make a difference.

As the marketing profession would put it: Don't miss this Once in a Lifetime Opportunity!
